Applies to: Hosted Email (both Windows Hosting and Linux Hosting platforms)
In most cases you will want to configure Windows Live Mail to download your messages onto a single computer. When you download your messages in this manner, they are subsequently removed from the mail server when the download is complete.
Important Note: If you're a Linux Hosting customer, you must use "mail.
yourdomain", (not mail.servupro.com).
Configuring a New Account
From the Tools Menu, choose Accounts...
- Click Add...
- Under Select Account Type, choose Email Account and click Next.
- Enter your email address, password and the Display Name for this account.
- Check the box "Manually configure server settings for e-mail account" and click Next.
- Ensure "My incoming mail server is a POP3 server is selected.
- Enter "mail.servupro.com" (without the quotes) in the Incoming server box. Note: You may also enter mail.yourdomain if you wish.
- Leave Login ID blank.
- Enter "mail.servupro.com" in the Outgoing server box (or mail.yourdomain if you wish).
- Check "My outgoing server requires authentication".
- Click Finish.
